The WS 17800 satisfies your need for the smartest, most elegant way to store wine, in addition to adding a sophisticated flair when entertaining your guests. While stylish enough to fit any decor, the WS 17800 also creates the ideal conditions for wines to mature successfully – constant air quality, temperature, and humidity controls, alongside quiet, vibration-free storage. Specially developed, quiet compressors ensure that the cabinet produces the lowest vibration possible, allowing wines to fully mature. The insulated glass door with UV protection, alongside the activated charcoal filter, protect the wines from busy kitchen influences such as light and odor.

The three temperature zones within the WS 17800 can be set between 41°F to 68°F, making the cabinet suitable for the storage of reds, whites, and champagnes. This model is equipped with an alarm system to alert the user if the door has been left open, or if the selected temperatures have been compromised. The energy-efficient LED ceiling light not only emits virtually no heat, but it is dimmable to cast a cool glow across the room.

As a true wine storage unit, the WS 17800 includes heating capabilities to maintain accurate temperatures when the location of the cabinet is colder than the desired set temperature. Liebherr’s design uses recirculated forced air cooling and a permanent fresh air supply via an easily exchangeable activated charcoal filter. Humidity ranges between 50 and 80 percent, permitting wine to breathe as it matures and to keep corks supple. Attractive beech wood shelving with smooth telescopic rails, and a unique drop-down presentation shelf, make displaying your finest wines elegant and easy.

• Soft System Closing Mechanism

The SoftSystem closing damping is comfortable and highly practical in everyday use. When the door is closed, the SoftSystem integrated into the door damps the movement and ensures particularly soft closing even when the door interior is fully loaded. On built-in devices, the door closes automatically from an opening angle of around 30°.

• PowerCooling System

The high-performance PowerCooling system rapidly cools down freshly stored food and creates an even cooling temperature throughout the interior. A door contact switch turns the fan off when the door is opened. This saves valuable energy.

• Door Alarm

The audible door alarm alerts the user if the door has been open for longer than 60 seconds for the safe protection of the food.

• Child Lock

The child lock is programmed so as to prevent the appliance from being inadvertently switched off. A symbol in the MagicEye indicates when the child lock is switched on.

• Reversible door Hinges

The appliances are factory fitted with door hinges on the right. The reversible door hinges permit optimum use of the appliance wherever it is located.

• Vinidor Range

With two or three wine safes that can be precisely regulated from +5°C to +20°C independently of one another, the Vinidor appliances offer maximum flexibility of use. The appliance featuring three wine safes can therefore simultaneously keep red wine, white wine, and champagne at their optimum serving temperatures. These appliances also provide the ideal climate conditions for long-term wine storage. Since the wine safes vary in size, and their temperatures can be set with absolute flexibility, these appliances can accommodate any personal selection of wines.

• Activated Charcoal Filter

Environmental odors can affect wines stored for longer periods. In the wine cabinets, perfect air quality is ensured through an easily-replaceable FreshAir activated charcoal filter.

• Presentation Shelf

The presentation shelf sets off fine wines to perfection and keeps bottles that have already been opened at the optimum temperature. Up to 6 wine bottles can be placed upright on the flexible shelf. Wine bottles can be stored lying down either behind or at the side.

• Low-Vibration Storage

Even slight vibrations can disturb the wine maturing process and prevent the tannins from settling. Specially developed, exceptionally low-vibration compressors in all the wine cabinets mean that the wine is optimally stored.

• Ideal Humidity

Maintaining the proper humidity is an important aspect of the storage of wines. In this way, corks remain supple and do not dry out. Wine should be stored in a horizontal position to keep the corks moist from the inside. With over 50 % air humidity, wine cabinets guarantee the perfect conditions. The air humidity can be controlled as required in the wine storage cabinets by pressing the ventilation button.

• Integrated Heater

An integrated heater permits temperatures above the ambient temperature to be reached. This can be very important, for example, to bring red wine to drinking temperature (approx. +18 °C).

• LED Ceiling Light

The energy-efficient LED ceiling light not only emits virtually no heat for the optimal storage of wines but is dimmable for a pleasant ambient light within the cabinet, as well as a cool glow for the room.

• Beech Wood Shelving

Liebherr wine cabinets are fitted with beech wood shelving and mounted on telescopic rails for easy and gentle access to wines. The handmade, untreated wood pullout shelves can hold a variety of bottle types.
