Meiji EMZ-10 Stereo Zoom Microscope with 10X Eyepieces & Protective Lens - 129.440-10
The Meiji EMZ-10 with the 0x protective lens and a pair of 10X eyepieces is the scope of choice of Jura, the reknowned micro diamond setter and tool innovator who uses this scope with his Jura microscope stand on a Jura bench. Jura likes the higher powers of magnification that this set up allows, and the EMZ-10 has a slightly greater working distance (110mm vs 93mm than an EMZ-5 when used without an auxiliary lens).
Simpy put, with this EMZ-10 kit and the protective lens you will have 110mm (4-3/8") room between your work and the lens, while with the EMZ-5 kit with .5x Auxiliary lens, you will have 158mm (6-1/4") of room between your work and the lens.
You can certainly use the EMZ-10 in the GRS Acrobat stand, and depending on your bench and what kind of equipment you are working with (size of engraving block, use of GRS work lowering devices, bench height, chair height, your height) this may be the right scope for you. The only difference between an EMZ-10 and the EMZ-5 is an increase in working distance of 17mm with the EMZ-10 when used without an auxiliary lens, and the corresponding differences in working distance when used with an auxiliary lens.
