The infrared sensors allow your dog or cat to activate the Autoslide system on your sliding patio door to open, so they can go in & out as they please all day long. This Motion-activated pet door kit is a great option for pets who are frequently going outside through your sliding door. When the infrared beam from the sensor is broken by a person or pet, this triggers the Autoslide system to open the sliding door and close shortly after. No longer will you need to constantly open the door for your pets when they want to go out or come back in. The infrared beam is heigh adjustable, allow it to be set for dogs or people of any height. The included splitter, allows you to use your motion sensors in "Pet Mode", where the sliding door will only open to the programmed width of your pet. When you don't want them going out on their own, you can activate Normal mode and the AutoSlide will deactivate the programmed sensors, but will still allow you to use the door as normal.
