Maintenance Tips
- Clean or Replace Air Filters Regularly: Wash or replace filters every 1-3 months to maintain airflow and efficiency. Clogged filters can reduce cooling/heating performance and increase energy consumption.
- Inspect and Clean Coils: Clean the evaporator coils every 6-12 months to prevent dirt buildup, which can hinder heat exchange and lower efficiency. Use a soft brush or coil cleaner.
- Check and Clear the Condensate Drain: Ensure the drain line is free from clogs to prevent water leaks and mold growth. Flush with warm water or use a wet/dry vacuum if needed.
- Monitor Refrigerant Lines: Check for any signs of leaks or damage. Ensure insulation is intact to prevent energy loss and condensation buildup.
- Keep the Intake Grille Clean: Dust and debris can accumulate on the ceiling cassette’s intake grille, affecting airflow. Wipe it down regularly to maintain optimal performance.
- Ensure Proper Air Distribution: Make sure vents are not blocked and air is being evenly distributed throughout the room. Adjust louvers if necessary.
- Listen for Unusual Noises: Strange sounds like rattling or hissing may indicate loose parts or refrigerant issues. If noticed, schedule an inspection.
- Schedule Annual Professional Maintenance: A technician should check refrigerant levels, deep clean internal components, and ensure all parts are functioning properly to prevent costly repairs.
