Ranger RFJ-2TX 2 Ton Long Reach "Euro-Style" Jack - 5150058

This is a 2-ton, “Euro-style,” low-profile garage floor jack for hard-to-reach jack points. Our popular, low-profile floor jack is designed with an extended chassis, so it offers excellent leverage when jacking.

Low-Profile Floor Jack Designed with an Extended Chassis

With its longer reach, this jack works on virtually every style of vehicle. While it’s specially made for hard-to-reach jack points, the RFJ-2TX works equally well on all low-profile vehicle types. The Euro-style design has a minimal profile, so no matter what you're working on, correctly positioning the pad beneath a factory-approved jacking point is a cinch. Virtually every sports car, race car, light-duty truck and SUV can be serviced with the RFJ-2TX.

Swivel casters help the jack maneuver easily around the garage floor, while a quick-lift pedal speeds the entire jacking process. The RFJ-2TX also employs sealed hydraulics to prevent contamination and is crafted out of a rugged, heavy-gauge steel to ensure that it will stand the test of time, even with continuously heavy use. The handle is ergonomically designed to make jacking easy and stress-free on your body. As always, the Ranger logo means this floor jack has been over-engineered, test and approved to be absolutely safe at the max lifting capacity of 4,000 lbs.

So, what is a “Euro-style” lift? The style of this floor jack addresses the fact that some European imports have extended chassis that make it difficult for floor jacks to safely reach the vehicles’ jacking points. Standard American domestic vehicles have easy-to-reach jack points or pinch-rails closer to the edge of the chassis. Our Euro-style floor jack has an extended-length, low-profile pad that makes reaching those imports, as well as some domestic models, safe and easy.

What our Experts Think
  • Regular Cleaning: After each use, clean the jack to remove dirt, debris, and any spilled hydraulic fluid. This prevents contamination and ensures smooth operation.

  • Inspect Hydraulic Fluid:

    • Check Fluid Level: With the saddle fully lowered and the jack on level ground, remove the filler screw. The hydraulic fluid should be level with the bottom of the fill hole. If it's below this level, add quality hydraulic fluid as needed.

    • Use Appropriate Fluid: Always use quality hydraulic fluid. Avoid brake fluid, alcohol, detergent motor oil, dirty oil, or any fluid other than recommended hydraulic fluid to prevent internal damage.

  • Lubricate Moving Parts:

    • Apply light grease to the saddle post and the bottom of the saddle to ensure smooth movement.Grease the lower end of the handle where it rotates in the handle socket

  • Purge Air from Hydraulic System:

    • If the lifting arm doesn't raise after pumping, air may be trapped in the hydraulic system

    • To purge air

      • Open the release valve by twisting the handle counterclockwise.

      • Pump the handle rapidly 6-8 times to expel air from the oil passages.Close the release valve by twisting the handle clockwise and pump the handle.

      • If the lifting arm raises, the jack is ready for use. If not, repeat the procedure.

  • Proper Storage: Store the jack in a dry, clean environment, avoiding exposure to extreme temperatures or humidity, to prolong its lifespan.
